They have a lightweight design with double straps and nose bridge, the soft edge (the area in contact with the face) and the foam padding fit a wide range of face sizes and shapes. The 3M Advanced Electret Filter Media (AEM) makes breathing easier for the user, and part of the range is available with the 3M Cool Flow valve, which relieves heat build-up when working in hot and humid conditions. The textile, color-coded headbands make it easier to identify the level of protection: yellow for FFP1 (NPF 4), blue for FFP2 (NPF 12) and red for FFP3 (NPF 50). They are designed for optimal use with 3M eye and hearing protection products.
