The measuring system used works according to the liquid expansion principle and can be used without any problems up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 345 °C. The smooth round sensor made of high-quality stainless steel has a diameter of 6 mm and a sensor length of approx. 87 mm. The long-distance line of the thermostat is made of copper and can be laid flexibly, taking into account a bending radius of 5 mm. The maximum permissible ambient temperature at the switching head (protection class IP00) is 80 °C. The switching head is attached using a mounting bracket with two M3 x 22 screws. The desired switch-off temperature can be easily set on a scale using a screwdriver. The temperature limiter is characterized by a high switching point accuracy of +/- 5%. A decisive advantage is that no additional auxiliary energy is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made at the flat plugs (A 6.3 x 0.8 DIN 46244) of the switching set, which can switch a maximum permissible switching capacity of AC 230 volts / 16 A directly. The thermostat has an unlocking difference of approx. 10% of the scale range, after which the device can be unlocked simply by pressing a button. The temperature limiter can be used very flexibly and is used in heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and furnace construction and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate cabinets. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has UL and EAC approval.
